Kenya's Turkana governor thanks China for zero tariffs in meeting with Chinese Ambassador Guo Haiyan

Turkana Governor Jeremiah Lomorukai thanked China for its zero-tariff policy when he met Chinese Ambassador Guo Haiyan on 28 October; Guo met Salim Mvurya, Kenya's Cabinet Secretary for Youth Affairs, Creative Economy and Sports, on 30 October, the Chinese Embassy in Kenya said on its website.

Safari Rally confirmed on 2027 WRC calendar for 18-21 March as Kenya seeks five-year deal

On 8 October 2026, the FIA confirmed Kenya's Safari Rally on the 15-round 2027 World Rally Championship calendar, for 18 to 21 March. Kenya says it has bid to keep the event for five more years; the length of the new hosting deal has not been announced, Citizen Digital reported.
