About the event

People & Things is a solo exhibition by Abushariaa Ahmed at Tribal Gallery in Loresho. It opens on Friday 2 October at 6pm and runs until 25 October. You must RSVP for the opening.

The work uses fine, detailed line drawing, bright mixed media and semi-abstract forms. Ornamental Nubian symbols and geometric patterns run through the compositions alongside touches of Arabic calligraphy. The artist has worked across East Africa and Europe for decades, and the listing describes his art as reflecting home, exile and cultural resilience.
